My 11th Year Cancerversary

Here we are!!! My GYN Oncologist, Dr. Jason Wright, MD,  and me posing for our annual picture.  This year is our 11th year doing it.  He is such a ham.  He says to me -- "I love taking this picture with you every January on your annual check-up day, so you can post it on our cancer anniversary- Cinco de Mayo."

Cinco de Mayo - how ironic is that - right? Such an iconic date in Mexico as well as here in the United States.  Nevertheless, I celebrate for other reasons and I imagine everyone else is celebrating with me by drinking their Margaritas on this day saying - Cheers to your 11th year Patti!!!

The number 11 in numerology is a master number. There are three master numbers – they are 11, 22 and 33. They are known as master numbers because experts believe they are powerful with added potential, due to the pairing of the same number. So, yes I feel powerful and my potential is endless.

I never thought I would get here.  Eleven years ago my life changed as I came face to face with my own mortality.  Never in a million years would I have imagined this happening to me -- especially when I had just retired three months prior from the NYPD and was ready to really enjoy retirement.
It was a diffucult journey to say the least, but with the support and prayers of so many people from near and far I was able to win the battle.

Today, I am grateful for so many blessings. I value every single day and see each day as a beautiful gift.  I will be honest and say that at times, I might not like how my daily gift is wrapped - nevertheless - it is my precious gift, and I say daily ——
Today, Cinco de Mayo it is also Giving Tuesday Now - So I am asking to please help me celebrate 11 year of being cancer FREE by donating to Cervivor™ — an amazing organization that has helped and supported me and many other women with cervical cancer.

I realize that we are going through a global pandemic at this time, but cancer doesn't take any pause or shelter in place.
There are more than 14,000 women diagnosed with cervical cancer every year and more the 4,000 women die of this disease every year in the United States alone.

Your donation, whether you donate $5.00, $11.00, or $100 can help end cervical cancer.
If you cannot donate - I understand, but you can still help me share the link for my fundraiser or share this blog post. I will be so appreciative.
As always I appreciate all your continuous support and I’m sending you ALL a big heartfelt thank you.
Much Health and Light,
